curl https://api.openai.com/v1/responses -H "Authorization: Bearer $OPENAI_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"model":"gpt-5.2","input":"Check my bot runs for loops","tools":[{"type":"mcp","server_url":"https://cloudforbots.com/mcp","server_label":"cfb","authorization":"Bearer '"$CFB_KEY"'","require_approval":"never"}]}'
ChatGPT app (Settings → Apps → Developer mode → Create): name Cloud for Bots, MCP server URL below, authentication No authentication.
https://cloudforbots.com/mcp?key=YOUR_KEY
The app can't send a custom header, so the key rides in the link. Treat that link like a password, and use a key you can rotate from the dashboard.
Claude
Claude Code tested
claude mcp add --transport http cloud-for-bots https://cloudforbots.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $CFB_KEY"
Claude app (Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector): paste the same ?key= link as above.
Check it works
curl -s https://cloudforbots.com/mcp -H "Authorization: Bearer $CFB_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/list"}' | head -c 300
Live cards in chat (OpenUI)
Add "ui":"openui" to any tool call (or the header x-cfb-ui: openui). Replies then carry an openui field in OpenUI Lang, the open-source format for generative UI, which an OpenUI renderer shows as cards: approval with Approve and Deny buttons, budget meter, loop stopped, run replay and handoff.
